Taylor Swift has been quite active in Kansas City; most recently, the Grammy-winning artist gave a “significant contribution” to a local food bank.

Swift, 33, generously donated money to the food bank, according to a social media post from Harvesters Community Food Network from July.

“It won’t be a #cruelsummer for thousands of families, children and seniors experiencing food insecurity thanks to a generous donation we received from the award-winning singer,” the food bank posted on its Facebook page at the time.

Swift gave the money over the summer, but the post went unnoticed. Swift, who continues to steal the show at Kansas City Chiefs games, has brought the story to light again.

According to Sarah Biles, director of communications at the food bank, “We were quite surprised,” according to an interview with The Kansas City Star that was published this week.

Over the summer, Taylor Swift gave a “significant contribution” to a food pantry in Kansas City.
The total amount donated was requested not to be disclosed by the food bank. Biles said that in some respects, Swift’s efforts to raise awareness of hunger have an even greater impact than the actual gift.

“In total, it’s a significant contribution to hunger relief and it’s so gratifying to see that she’s chosen a cause like this,” Biles stated.

To see Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his teammates play against the Denver Broncos on Thursday, Swift was seen making her way to the game. The day after going to see her “Eras Tour” movie premiere, the singer supported the Chiefs while wearing a black dress and a red varsity jacket.

The mayor of Kansas City, Quinton Lucas, welcomed Swift back to the city in a social media post on Thursday morning before her arrival on game day.

Swift was in a good mood when the game began. In addition to kissing for the camera in a picture with a little spectator, the singer was seen speaking with Kelce’s mother, Donna.

On Sept. 24, when Kelce played against the Chicago Bears, Swift and Kelce made their first public appearance together. The “Lavender Haze” singer supported him as he won 41-10 while sitting in a suite with Donna Kelce.
