There was no romantic tension in Selena Gomez and Fred Again’s recent hangout. Even though she had dinner with the British music producer, it didn’t appear to be a date, according to an eyewitness.

This past Thursday, August 3, the former Disney star and the DJ went to Barney’s Beanery in West Hollywood, California. On the same evening, Selena posted a photo from the trendy hangout to her Instagram Story. In the now-deleted photo, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer displayed her fun side by sticking her tongue out while Fred looked on, grinning.

According to Entertainment Tonight, a source said that Selena and Fred arrived at the bar at around 7 o’clock that evening. They were laughing and joking with each other, but reports have it that they never touched each other during the entire evening.

According to the witness, Selena was quite kind to the people who came up to their table. The “Wolves” singer was thrilled when a fan in the audience requested a photo with their newborn. Later, another admirer came up to her and introduced herself.

Someone was playing pool later that night and came dangerously near to hitting Selena with the cue. When the pool player apologized, the star, who was then 31 years old, said, “No problem!” Go win!”

According to reports, Selena and Fred didn’t spend much time at the party. After eating, they left with the security guard who had been lurking in the corner.

The two may be discussing about working together, albeit the nature of their relationship is unclear. The 30-year-old singer/songwriter has collaborated with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Swedish House Mafia, and Skrillex, and she has now revealed that she is back in the studio.

On a more personal note, Selena gave a hint in July that she is currently single. She experimented with the “Why Am I Single?” filter in a TikTok video. The caption said, “Well thats rude tik tok,” expressing her disbelief at the reaction, which replied, “You Have Bad Taste.”
